Shake It Up
I want you to do one new thing today. It doesn't have to be a life-changing event or earth-shattering task - just something different.Routine, if you haven't already realized it yourself, is often your strongest enemy. You try to change your ways, but habit always seems to pull you back down.If you want your dreams of a better life to happen, you have to find a way to break your routine. And it all begins with a single change in your pattern.Check out a book from the library that you normally wouldn't read. Not that I want you to waste your time reading something you find boring, but something you'd like to know more about but haven't ever taken the time to look into.Get to know a neighbor or someone at work whom you haven't talk with much. This alone can lead to significant changes. Our motivation is greatly influenced by the people in our lives, so the simple action of extending your hand in friendship to someone new can spark a chain reaction that results in massive changes.Small changes like that may not seem like much, but you'd be amazed at how often a small action leads to bigger and better things. It's the way of the world - one thing always leads to another. One new thing today. That's all I want you to do. If you're thinking you can do without this idea or that you'll get around to it, ask yourself this question: "If I can't get myself to take one small action, how will I ever get myself to do what it takes to achieve my goals?"
